Why did you become a children’s illustrator?
I have a passion for all things fun and whimsical, and who knows fun better than kids! I believe kids are a light in the world which aligns with the main goal of Nettuno Illustrations: to bring a smile to people’s faces.
What project are you most proud of? What do children learn or understand from it, why is that important?
The project I’m the most proud of is still in the works. It’s a children’s book I am writing and illustrating called Mouse Trapped. It’s about a little mouse that wants something so badly, he ends up getting himself in some trouble because of it. A lot can be learned from this book, but you will just have to wait to find out what.
What are you itching to draw or illustrate next?
One of my favorite things to do as a children’s illustrator is illustrate similes and metaphors. I literally dreamed an idea in my head one night for a “Snug as a Bug in a Rug” illustration, and I am very excited to create it soon!
Tell us about your latest project. Where can it be purchased?
My latest project is being finalized right now, and is with a company in Sweden called Afle Nordic AB. They specialize in wall art and home décor. I have become one of their newest art providers, specializing in art for children’s wall décor. If you are a resident of Sweden, you can purchase the wall art online after it’s up and running.
My name is Sarah Nettuno, owner of Nettuno Illustrations. I specialize in children’s illustration, editorial illustration, product and package design, food and drink illustration, and more!
