23 February, 2024We invite you to join the Graphic Artists Guild community of graphic design and illustration professionals of all disciplines interested in career development, skills enhancement, and industry knowledge. You’ll be joining an organization that works with you to protect and advance your career by advocating for fair treatment and delivering practical advice.
The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines is the industry bible for communication design and illustration professionals. Each new edition continues the tradition of providing excellent, up-to-date guidance and advice, incorporating new information, listings, and pricing guidelines. Members find it invaluable for its practical tips on how to negotiate the best deals, price their services accurately and create contracts that protect their rights (it includes sample contracts and other documents). For communication design and illustration professionals, there simply isn’t a more comprehensive or informative resource.
The Graphic Artists Guild schedules approximately 12 webinars each year, featuring the knowledge and insights of leading professionals across a variety of creative disciplines. All webinars are free for members, have been developed to enhance your creative practice, and grow your client list. Creative Professional Webinars are archived one week after they occur.
Guild members may log in to the member section of the website to view past webinars as many times as they would like.
The old adage is true: A picture really does paint 1,000 words (or more!). Don’t just tell prospective clients what you do… show them. We invite our members to gain exposure to potential clients through a Graphic Artists Guild Member Portfolio. The more places your work can be viewed, the more likely it is that new clients will find you.
Professional-level Guild Member? You may post nine images. Portfolio pages are sortable by discipline (choose up to three categories) and location, making it easy for prospective clients to find exactly the kind of artist they’re looking for.
Associate and Student Guild Members may post three images.
Members: Sign in at Member Central to set up your portfolio.
