The East Region of the Graphic Artists Guild provides an ever-expanding range of resources and opportunities for Guild members in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and International members whose backgrounds span various artistic disciplines and skill levels.

This webinar is about what changes when your engagements become more strategic.
Beyond a discussion about how to increase your rate, you’ll learn how to align expertise to opportunity, scope strategy with or without delivery, and make agreements that create more valuable collaborations.
You’ll leave with:
● A clearer way to talk about what you do and what you charge, including the often underappreciated strategy needed for deliverables
● Highlights of the Guild Handbook’s most relevant sections
● At least one concrete change you can make before your next client conversation
The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing & Ethical Guidelines, 17th Edition, will be referenced throughout. We’ll even give one away to a lucky participant. Attendance is free for Guild members.

Sherra Bell is a coach/consultant currently serving as the Guild Secretary. A designer turned creative recruiter, she has built her advisory services around helping creative entrepreneurs sell and build value. Across multiple decades through all varieties of economic conditions, Sherra has observed the same patterns play out on both sides of the creative relationship: value left on the table, scope defined by assumptions, agreements that protect no one. She’s also watched what happens when creatives get involved earlier, price for outcomes and expertise instead of hours, and build agreements that support enhanced collaborations.
If you are a self-employed creative, Sherra can help you sell your value and build your team. If you are a non-profit, higher ed or values-led organizational leader, Sherra can help you evaluate your budgets and identify skill and values-aligned talent.
