Alexis Bartlett, Artist & Designer

Alexis has done art her whole life. She holds qualifications in both design and education. She’s had work exhibited in the US and overseas. She joined The Graphic Artists’ Guild i n the hopes of continuing to develop her craft and also give back to the industry. She also sits on the board of directors for Mannakin Theater and Dance where she can provide design insight and assist in giving both performing and visual arts opportunities to adults and underprivileged kids. She’s been featured in a TEDx talk and also on a couple of podcasts.

We ask you to remember that many designers, artists and illustrators may not want to have their images used in any way, including in agency presentations. Any use, including “comping,” implies value that is worth compensation. Art or photography in portfolios submitted for a job should not be copied for any use, including client presentation or “comping,” without the creator’s permission. In case after case, the creator’s property rights have been upheld, and those caught engaging in these practices were penalized, paying large fines to the artists.
