Kary Lee, Illustrator/Visual Storyteller

Every Picture Tells a Story:
Storytelling is an inherent part of who I am, and art is a universal language. So, as a visual storyteller I can reach everyone with one image; children of all ages, race and gender; no translation needed. My medium is watercolor with a wash and line approach inspired by the golden age of illustration era. My goal is to incorporate that feel with a fresh twist; depicting culture and challenges of today through the lens of the past. I am obsessed with the collaboration of my images and authors words to enlighten, encourage and empower my viewers through stories that reflect our similarities while celebrating our differences. -Kary Lee
