Darryl Fossa, Graphic Designer and Ilustrator

Darryl Fossa is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Montclair, New Jersey and Berlin, Germany. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in 1983, he spent the next decade working for Feller Precision, a theatrical automation company. For the last 20 years he has served as art director and graphic designer for PAINWeek, an educational platform consisting of live, digital, and print activities. As one opinion leader stated, “PAINWeek goes beyond medicine and explores the humanity of chronic pain by recognizing its role in art, culture, and education. It is the highlight event of the year.” He is passionate about typography and has spent many hours at P98a, the Berlin letterpress studio of Erik Spiekermann.

  • Any unauthorized downloading or duplication of images is prohibited by copyright law.

We ask you to remember that many designers, artists and illustrators may not want to have their images used in any way, including in agency presentations. Any use, including “comping,” implies value that is worth compensation. Art or photography in portfolios submitted for a job should not be copied for any use, including client presentation or “comping,” without the creator’s permission. In case after case, the creator’s property rights have been upheld, and those caught engaging in these practices were penalized, paying large fines to the artists.
