Joseph Carter-Brown shares his personal journey navigating that tension in corporate settings, where innovation and ethics don’t always move at the same pace. He’ll explain why drawing clear lines matters and introduce the Impact Outlook Toolkit, a resource he co-authored to help designers and teams think more intentionally about the human impact of their decisions.

Joseph Carter-Brown is a UX designer and brand strategist who helps organizations design experiences that work for people and the businesses behind them. He has led digital transformations at Stanley Black & Decker and Comcast, building accessible, scalable experiences while advancing human-centered UX, AI, and research practices. Today, through his independent practice DOsomething.DESIGN, he partners with small businesses and mission-driven organizations on brand identities, digital platforms, and campaign strategies. His work is grounded in a simple belief: design works best when it respects people.
