The one hour+ course will cover understanding the licensing industry, what you need to get started and expand your business, branding and marketing techniques, what manufacturers are looking for, collection essentials, how to recognize a safe contract, and when and how to find the right agent and/or attorney. These questions and more will be answered during and after this lively class, which will be presented by marketing and licensing expert J’net Smith.
Jeanette Smith, has more than 25-years’ experience in the marketing, publishing, branding and licensing industries and is currently the Owner/President of All Art Licensing, the Sedona based, coaching, training, consulting agency. As past United Media Vice President and the marketing powerhouse behind the wildly successful, $200 million a year, Dilbert™, she created the first corporate cartoon brand in history and is one of the few licensing trainers and coaches who has actually done what she teaches. Recently J’net was recognized for her expertise and appointed the Official Host for the Licensing Expo’s Art + Design Zone Resource Center. She is a frequent speaker for the Graphic Artists Guild, Licensing University, Surtex, HOW DESIGN LIVE, Self-Employment in the Arts and the CEO Conference. Through All Art Licensing, her goal is to make the business of marketing and licensing for creators understandable, achievable and affordable.
