Class Description

Joey discusses a bit of his professional background as a graphic designer, and how those skills, along with his illustration work has helped him land 3 years worth of iOS game development projects.

Viewers learn what roles and jobs may be available to them, even if they’ve never worked on a game before, and that game development is a huge industry employing many, many, many illustrators and designers.

Presenter Bio

Joey Ellis is an illustrator and designer with over ten years of experience specializing in character design for brands, games and stories of all kinds. Working for clients like Disney, Facebook and PBS Kids, Joey’s work is as recognizable as it is loveable, bursting with bright colors and personality.

Joey recently successfully self-published a 72-page graphic novel through Kickstarter called “Leaky Timbers” starring Wolfie Monster. Joey lives with his wife Erin and two boys in Charlotte, NC.

Guild members, including educators, may not facilitate access, viewing, or dissemination of Guild Webinars, or supplemental content, by non-members including students in an educational setting.
