So how do you tell a story visually? Meet Belinda Ivey, a 16-year design veteran discusses a bit of her background as an newspaper visual journalist morphed into becoming an independent infographic designer. Viewers learn how an infographic comes together from concept to final draft. Belinda also covers the three types of basic infographics, as well as discussing which format works best to tell a visual story.

About Our Presenter

Belinda Ivey is the co-founder and CEO of KarBel Multimedia, a creative agency that specializes in infographic design, data visualizations, motion graphics and interactives. Belinda’s award-winning career has slingshot her from newspaper art departments across the country for the first 12 years of her career, before she left the industry in 2011 to focus on her company with her husband.

Belinda is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Miami’s School of Communication, where she has taught multimedia design and infographics to undergraduate students. She is currently pursuing an MFA in motion media design from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
