“From Inspiration to Publication: Writing and Illustrating a Children’s Book” with Katia Wish walks us through the journey of children’s book publication from the initial idea through to the final book publication.

Presenter: Katia Wish

This webinar originally aired on January 19, 2022 and is approximately one-hour long.

What does a journey from inspiration to the publication of a children’s book look like?

How do you start your process?
• From a character?
• From an idea?
• From a childhood memory?

All of the above!

Join author-illustrator, Katia Wish to see how she developed her latest book, RACCOON’S PERFECT SNOWMAN. From childhood memories to initial character studies to doodles/notes to figuring out the heart of the story to storyboards to character consistency to many versions of a dummy book to submission.
