Introduction to Responsive Design

Presented by Erik Fadiman

We’ll discuss an agile design workflow which includes styles tiles, designing in the browser, and testing on multiple devices.

Introduction to Responsive Design

As more people access the web from their smartphones and tablets, the range of screen sizes and platforms designers need to deliver for has increased dramatically. Responsive Web Design allows us to create website layouts which adapt to fit any device. There are three main components to this kind of approach: a fluid grid, flexible images and media queries. This means old fixed-width layouts do not fit the modern web anymore and the way we work needs to be changed.  Showing static comps to clients is no longer practical and we’ll discuss an agile design workflow which includes styles tiles, designing in the browser, and testing on multiple devices.
