Warrior-King David of the Bible

Warrior-King David of the Bible

Illustration for one of a series of published Bible Timeline Collector Cards. It is one of 53 cards featuring heroes and events of the Bible.

I created sketches of the character and background which I scanned digitally. Then I composed the sketches on a layer in Adobe Photoshop, from which I created the final line art and added color on another layer.

Product information for the cards can be found at:

About the Artist

I am a Graphic Artist on staff for a Church-related, educational, non-profit publishing company in suburban Chicago. My role includes Art Direction on special products, illustration and cartooning for student curriculum and other publications as well as pre-press production work as needed.

On weekends I teach at a private community Art School. My specialty is theme-related Cartooning for grades 1 through 12.

I also do freelance work to illustrate stories, provide caricatures or story boards and other pre-production design and conceptual art.
