About the Artist

KJ Bateman is an artist and writer. She started in Washington, D.C. and after stops in Colorado, Germany, California and Pennsylvania she ended up in the

Pacific Northwest.

As a painter, she uses oils, acrylic and mixed media to explore cafes, sheep, fencers, ruffles, and bumblebees in a quirky, expressionistic style.

She writes and illustrates children’s books and is currently working on a book about an apartment building filled with, yes, quirky and expressionistic characters.

She is the Western Region Administrator for the Graphic Artists Guild.

The Guild Supports "Ask First".
