My name is Stephen T. Johnson and thanks to my drawing students, I have inherited the acronym STJ. And I liked it. So I now use my acronym to define the 3 pillars of my creative framework - Subject, Transformation and Joy! The transformation of the subject into a physical reality (drawings, paintings, collage, mosaics, etc.) and the joy I receive in the process of making and the joy it brings to the viewer through my children’s books, public artwork and museum and gallery exhibitions.
