Michele Tupper

ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Michele Tupper, graphic designer and illustrator

Hi, My name is Michele and I'm an experienced book designer in the New York Metro area. I have cover & interior design, as well as typesetting experience with major publishers such as Harper Collins, Hyperion, Disney and Scholastic. I've worked on a variety of young reader books, picture books, board books and young adult novels as well as posters, games, and even some logo work. While my experience has been primarily children's books, young adult, and teen novels, I am interested in showcasing my skills in other genres as well. I am flexible in my approach to typography and enjoy a good challenge. I've been a book designer for over 20 years and I still love it.

I am also a published children's book illustrator. Though I stay pretty busy with design work, if an illustration project comes along that I'm excited about, I'll take it on. My art style is detail-oriented, bright, modern and engaging to young readers. I work in pen and ink with gauche or watercolor and I enjoy illustrating characters based on animals. I love to draw, photograph, and paint nature themes.

I look forward to meeting you!
