ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Michael Allan Galvez, Digital Marketing & Design Manager

Based in New York City, Michael Allan Galvez is a visual media director and creative content specialist. He is currently the Digital Marketing & Design Manager of The Baruch-Frankel-Viertel-Routh Group, overseeing creative projects for 54 Below and managing assets for "Stomp," as well as producing "The 54 Below Podcast." He was part of the team that reopened Broadway in 2021 and the team that received 54 Below’s 2022 Tony Awards® Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.

Michael’s design work could be spotted on Playbill, on a cover of StageLight, and at times, The New York Times. He’s photographed performances by Patti LuPone, Vanessa Williams, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and productions professional and amateur alike. His photos could be found online on E! News and theatre reviews, and in print at The Smithsonian Institute archives and magazine covers and newspapers along the eastern United States.

Always passionate about the intersection of science and human experience, Michael is a steadfast advocate of the use of emerging technologies—like XR—not only to improve accessibility in the theatre, but also to create new or unexplored works of art. His research has taken him to opportunities created by TEDxBroadway and to praise by 2015 PEN/Laura Pels award-winning playwright Jennifer Blackmer.

Outside of the theatre, Michael has been involved with several nonprofits and charities—once becoming a part of a delegation that lobbied Congress for the expansion of affordable housing programs to combat homelessness during the second Obama administration.
