ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Clarissa Walton, Graphic Designer/Marketing Coordinator

Hi there! I’m Clarissa, an enthusiastic communicator who loves creating effective and appealing designs that help others achieve their business and marketing goals.

Although I officially entered the graphic design space in 2014, my love for designing can be traced back to my high school years as part of the yearbook design team.

I graduated from Oklahoma State University with an animal science major and an agricultural economics minor, after which I decided not to pursue a career as a veterinarian (because who like physics anyways?).

I stepped into the agricultural communications department and immediately found my passion in layout and design. I finished my second OSU degree with a master’s in agricultural communications after serving as a design and writing teaching assistant for three semesters.

My next career move led me to Oklahoma Farm Bureau, where as a communications specialist, I focused on magazine layout/design and social media management/strategy.

Although I loved working with farmers and ranchers, a little over a year later, I accepted a job at Central Electric Cooperative as a communications/marketing specialist, which was closer to home (10-minute drive vs. 59-minute drive). I specialized in creating professional graphics designed for various uses, from social media to business presentations to websites.

At the beginning of 2018, Studio Walton, LLC was born, giving me the opportunity to pursue one of my lifelong dreams of entrepreneurship. I enjoy creating personalized and custom designs from holiday cards to marketing brochures. A few months later, my husband and I moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, to help with my family’s cattle farm.

In addition to building Studio Walton, LLC, I am also currently working as a remote employee at Harrison, Walker & Harper, a family-owned company based in Paris, Texas. In my current position, I serve as the marketing coordinator primarily for GIP, one of HWH’s recent business ventures.

In a nutshell, I’m a piano-playing, grammar fanatic and die-hard Oklahoma State football fan with a farm-girl past who loves ice cream, pizza and creative marketing.
