Chuck is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. He has been Art Director of Outdoors NW magazine since January 2007, in a freelance-contract capacity. At Outdoors NW, Chuck is responsible for editorial design and layout, ad design, website updates, the company’s e-newsletter, digital editions, and all of the company’s marketing pieces. Chuck also has other freelance clients including one he has worked with for over 20 years.
In addition to being a working graphic artist, Chuck teaches part-time as Associate Faculty at Shoreline Community College.
He has been both a long- and short-distance hiker and spent six months on the Pacific Crest Trail in 1979. Favorite hike: Shi Shi Beach on the Washington coast. Favorite weekend getaway: Lake Chelan, Wash.
A Guild member for life, Chuck was the first Seattle Chapter president. He also has served as National Rep, ExComm Member-at-Large, National Vice President, and now Secretary.
